Author and Book of the Month for Aura Libraries for January 2022
Good year! To kick off 2022, we’ve chosen one of our favorite authors as our author of the month for January: Colson Whitehead. Admired by readers the world over, Colson Whitehead is one of America’s most important and outstanding contemporary authors.
Whether you’re new to his books or revisiting some of his best known and beloved titles, we’ve put together a little reading list to get you started on a Colson Whitehead adventure. Enjoy!

All her life, Marissa has searched for unconditional love and support, something she is sure she found in Jake. After a few months, they move in and start trying to have a baby. Everything seems perfect until the arrival of Kate, a tenant who seems to pay no attention to personal boundaries, making herself completely at ease and taking an uncomfortable interest in Jake – not to mention the child they hope for.
A twisted story of love and relationships, Magpie is the perfect page turner: full of tension to keep the reader on the edge of his seat. We would give this title an Aura Book rating of 4/5.
