Luton & Dunstable Hospital’s new system makes it easier to book children’s blood tests
A new appointment system for pediatric blood tests (children) will be available from Monday, November 1 at Luton and Dunstable University Hospital (L&D).
Parents or caregivers will be able to book pediatric blood tests through an online reservation service or an automated phone service.
This is for patients under 13 or under 18 with SEND.
A spokesperson said: âWith more than 500 children screened for blood tests each month at each of our hospital sites, it is important that we improve the way our service is accessible in a more convenient and efficient manner.
“The new systems will eliminate the need to call a single, dedicated phone line, resulting in a better and easier experience for patients and their parents or caregivers.”
There will be several ways to make an appointment, including:
> Through the online reservation service (available 24/7). Patients will need to register online: https://www.lutonpaediatrics.sangix.co.uk
> The automated telephone reservation service (available 24/7). The telephone number is: 01582 320201
> By contacting the pediatric team on 01582 497224, especially if your child has additional needs, or those with special requests such as fasting, genetics and hormonal tests
