The Investor Relations Unit (IRU) of the Republic of Indonesia was established as a joint effort between the Coordinating Ministry of Economic Affairs, the Ministry of Finance and the Bank of Indonesia since 2005. The main objective of the IRU is to actively communicate Indonesian economic policy and address concerns. investors, especially financial market investors.
As part of its communications measures, the IRU maintains a website under the Bank Indonesia website, which is administered by the International Department of the Bank Indonesia. However, the day-to-day activities of the IRU are supported by all relevant government agencies, among others: Bank Indonesia, Ministry of Finance, Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, Investment Coordinating Board, Financial Services Authority, Ministry of Trade, Ministry of State Owned Companies and Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.
The IRU also hosts a quarterly investor conference call, responds to questions by email, phone and can arrange direct visits from banks / financial institutions to Bank Indonesia and other relevant government offices.
